I have been in trouble many times trying to convince amateur and young poker players that it’s best not to choose poker as a livelihood and to complete their academic studies first. Certainly, it’s good to have role models. However I believe that sometimes I am not a good role model for youngsters who wish to pursue a professional and serious career as a poker player.
Can you play as a hobby and see that you have steady income for 1-2 years? There’s no need to leave the school and start your professional poker career then. You can combine both and not regret it later if something goes wrong.
Poker is FAST MONEY THE HARD WAY.
